I was raised in the small town of Perryville, Arkansas, where I was involved in a number of different youth ministry opportunities. I have served in many different ministry settings, including small church ministry, large church ministry, camp ministry, and college ministry.

I am a Provisional Elder in the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church. I am a Certified Youth Worker and oversee the Family Ministry at First United Methodist Church in Springdale, Arkansas.

:: Interests ::

I am interested in the history and practice of Christian worship. I was awarded the Hoyt Hickman Award for Excellence in Liturgics at Duke Divinity School. I also have spent time working with veteran groups and writing on Christian perspectives surrounding war and military service.
